Je viens de finir ma troisième semaine de radiation/chimio. On arrive donc à mi-parcours ! Toujours peu d’effet secondaire mais je compte les jours. Kathy part demain une semaine au ski avec les enfants. Entre faire tourner la maison, garder un pied dans son activité professionnelle, mettre sa maman en maison de santé et s’occuper de moi, elle a bien besoin d’une pause et d’un changement d’air. C’est mon ami Franz qui s’installe chez moi pour une semaine. Il va me conduire à BC cancer tous les matins. On ne prend plus les transports en commun depuis 3 jours pour limiter une éventuelle exposition au COVID-19. Le monde est toujours plein de surprises – ce sont des moments propices à l’introspection, la remise en question mais aussi une opportunité pour se réinventer ?

I just finished my third week of radiation / chemo. We are therefore half way there! Still few side effects but I am counting the days. Kathy is going skiing for a week with the kids tomorrow. Between running the house, keeping a foothold in her professional career, transitioning her mom into a nursing home and taking care of me, she needs a break and a change of scenery. My friend Franz is staying with me for a week. He’ll drive me to BC cancer every morning. We have not taken public transport for the last 3 days to limit possible exposure to COVID-19. The world is always full of surprises – These moments are conducive to introspection, questioning but also an opportunity to reinvent oneself?
